This article was generated by ChatGPT* when asked: Web Development Trends 2023

*Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer – is a chatbot that was launched by OpenAI, an artificial intelligence research and deployment company, in November 2022. It is a language model that can generate realistic, human-like text.

Some anticipated web development trends for 2023 include:

  1. Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) will become more widely adopted as they offer a native app-like experience for users through web technologies.
  2. The use of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue.js will continue to be popular for building web applications.
  3. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in web development will increase, such as the use of chatbots and personalized user experiences. The adoption of headless CMS (content management systems) will grow as they allow for more flexibility and scalability in web development.
  4. There will be a continued emphasis on web performance and speed, such as the use of web assembly and web workers.
  5. The use of Web Components, a set of technologies that allow developers to build reusable UI elements, will be increased.
  6. The use of web-based tools and services for web development will continue to grow, making it easier for developers to build and deploy web applications.
  7. The use of web-based Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) will increase, allowing for more immersive and interactive web experiences.

With all the coding courses available online, it’s not hard to learn the technical tools and programming languages needed to build a website or Web app. However, what is less clear is how to go about the process.

The focus of CIS 214 is on the aspects of website creation that is not coding. It’s about all the other aspects of managing and running a website including working in teams for:

  • Planning a website,
  • Designing a website,
  • Managing a website project, and
  • Maintaining a website after going live with the site.

Congratulations and good luck with your new website at Congregation Ahavat Olam. Hosted on Bluehost.com, we built the website using WordPress.org using the highly versatile Twenty Twenty One theme which mostly relies on the Block Editor for page building. The site integrates with PayPay for membership payments using debit and credit cards, and Venmo. Our design goes beyond just having a responsive layout, strictly following mobile-first best practices ensuring mobile users have a great experience.

I will be teaching two classes this spring at Oakton Community College online. The following links will redirect you to my faculty webpage where you can view the syllabi for the following classes:

CIS 152 Web Development Tools and CIS 148 Introduction to Database Driven Websites, both online, both have non-scheduled meeting times, meaning they are being taught asynchronously*.

*An online course through Desire-to-Learn (D2L) / Brightspace that does not have required virtual meetings at set times. Students do not need to log into their courses at the same time each week, but may access their courses at any time in order to meet the course deadlines as laid out in the syllabus. Instructors may require proctored testing.

We’ve worked very hard over the years to optimize organic search for our clients. We’ve obtained very good results in some very competitive industries, including law, software, retail, etc. For our own website, getting found on the first page of Google search engine results pages (SERPS) was very important. There are many web design companies in the Chicagoland area so we knew it would take time to appear on the first few pages of Google SERPS.

Today, we are proud to announce that röös design + consulting consistently appears on page 1 of Google SERPS using the search keyword phrases: Web design company Chicago || Web design firm Chicago

A proud moment indeed!

I like the latter, I just installed the WordPress Facebook Messenger chat plugin. You’re looking at it (lower right corner).

Today, with so many people on Facebook there’s a good chance they’ll have Messenger open and more inclined to engage with our website.
